UTICA, NY (September 4, 2009) - Are you an artist who needs work and would love to work with kids? Are you a teacher who is fed up with having no funds to make learning fun? Are you a Principal or Superintendent who despite knowing better is forced to cut back on the Arts in your school? The Stanley Center for the Arts' Arts Infusion Grants can help!
The Arts Infusion Grant is a local Arts in Education grant program that provides the funding for arts projects to take place in schools. The arts are an essential and basic part of every child's education. With creativity, the arts can be combined with any subject to enhance interest, participation and overall learning in the classroom. Funding is available to all schools located in Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties and is administered by the Stanley Center for the Arts. This program is funded and supported by the Arts in Education Program at the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) through the Local Capacity Building Initiative.
Make learning fun again by bringing a Teaching Artist into the classroom to work with the teacher in all curricula, be it math, science, social studies or language arts. Turn math into music and see students minds come alive, their test scores increase and their desire to learn soar!
Through the Stanley Center for the Arts' Arts Infusion Grant Program, you can receive up to $5,000 to bring art into classrooms.Download the guidelines and application at www.StanleyCenterForTheArts.com. Art is creative problem solving. If our children do not learn those skills how will our nation or humanity as a whole move forward? Give our children a better world. Give them the Arts!
